Social Media Assistant
About the Role
A Social Media Assistant works closely with a social media manager to create content for a company’s social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and more. They create dynamic written, graphic, and video content that promotes audience interaction/presence & audience participation. They work as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns keeping everything updated and brand-focused.
Key Industries for employment opportunities are extremely broad ranging from Marketing and Advertising, Broadcast Media, Entertainment, Education Management, Public Relations and Communications, Financial Services, Staffing and Recruiting, Environmental Services, Retail.
Salary Expectation: $55,000 (average annual salary)
Qualifications, Training, Licenses
Degree in marketing, advertising or public relations is preferred.
Short courses are available in social media strategy.
Knowledge & Capabilities
Technology skills and knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Experience with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and PPC (pay per click internet marketing).
Networking.
Deliver new ideas and concepts with content writing and be able to increases audience presence and interaction.
Graphic design (written, graphic and video content).
Develop and execute social media campaigns.
Strong customer-service skills and able to be a team player.
Strong communication skills with sound grammar and spelling, solid research skills and great attention to detail.
