Product Manager

About the Role

A Product manager is critical to a company’s product success and will focus on the long term vision of products and company objectives. Product managers translate customer needs using data and research on market problems and trends, and help define products and services that accommodate these needs. They manage the product lifecycle from strategic planning through to delivery, bridging gaps between different functions within the organisation, collaborating with multiple teams to develop, market, launch and evaluate customer success with product adoption.

There are four types of Product Managers: Business, Technical, Design or Growth. This role is diverse and involved in areas such as product marketing, supporting product sales, budgeting, long-term envisioning, customer care and supporting the solution-delivery team.

Salary Expectation: $100,000 – $120,000

Qualifications, Training, Licenses

Formal qualifications are not always essential but favourable in areas such as IT, computer science, marketing, or business with in-depth industry work experience.

Knowledge & Capabilities

Able to utilise necessary tools for product research, user testing, measurement and analytics, wireframing & design.

Able to develop a business case for the product and be strategically focused.

Conduct competitor and market analysis.

Researching customer needs and being an expert on the product, maintaining a product roadmap using road mapping/management tools.

Manage cross-functional teams to ensure product readiness.

Manage a feature list during product development.

Experience advocating for funding and managing budget.

Good leadership skill and effective communication with multiple parties.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or equivalent field is highly beneficial.
