About the Role
A JavaScript developer (software developer) will code web applications using the programming language of JavaScript which is supported across all web browsers and tools. A JavaScript developer can patch and update application codes to enable the user to create any digital or online content, control multimedia and animate images. They work on the front-end logic which defines the behaviour of the visual elements of a web application. A JavaScript developer may be responsible for a whole website or just specific aspects or pages, programming front-end code for web applications and supported by back-end developers.

Qualifications, Training, Licenses
Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a Bachelor degree majoring in Software Development.
Knowledge & Capabilities
Use software and hardware to write, modify and test programming code for a live environment.
Understand the core language features of Java & asynchronous code.
Able to use a set of developer tools to debug issues and implement improvement fixes (Typescript Programming) and knowledge of tools e.g. NodeJS, React or PostgreSQL.
Proficient with JavaScript functions and program performance.
Perform basic design tasks to assist designers with technical and design requirements.
Understand CSS language for creating style to web pages.
Basic understanding of networking and HTTP based APIs (application programming interface).
Excellent communication skills and able to liaise with clients to gather project requirements and designing solutions.
