Data Scientist
Data Scientists analyze and interpret large amounts of disorderly data and transform it into functional information, recognising patterns and identifying trends. They then use this to provide commercially focused recommendations to support business decisions.
Data Scientists build algorithms and develop predictive models to drive organisational strategies and tactical operations. They create data pipelines, troubleshoot data and script issues and proactively analyse the model building processes to identify and recommend improvements.
Data Scientists collaborate with technical and business colleagues to embed these models and communicate their learnings in an accessible manner to different types of audiences. Salary Expectation $112,000 – $163,000
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or science discipline (such as Applied Mathematics or Statistics, Machine Learning, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar)
• Advanced working knowledge of analytical programming:( SQL, SAS, R or Python) • Experience with building and deploying statistical and ML models • Expertise in a range of commonly used data modelling techniques • Experience manipulating and ‘making sense’ of big data from disparate systems • Ability to explain complex machine learning concepts to non-technical audiences • Ability to translate insights into decisions and actions that have a direct business impact
