About the Role
A Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) leads the marketing team and is responsible for a company’s marketing and sales directions. They manage the brand, image, and marketing of a company to increase sales. They analyse customer data and provide interpretation on buying practices of their competitors.
A CMO is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and monitoring the overall business marketing strategy which can include market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations. They help companies outperform their competition.

Qualifications, Training, Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in a business related subject and/or a master’s degree.
Extensive work experience in business and marketing.
Knowledge & Capabilities
Technological tools which marketers use daily, such as, SEO, SEM, email, CRM and social media.
Conducting competitive analysis & market research.
Overseeing company’s community and media relations.
Developing and maintaining business relationships.
Networking and leveraging contacts and sales leads.
Make evidence-based decisions using data and reports.
Determine & track KPI’s for marketing department and present reports.
Design, plan and execute marketing campaigns.
Leadership – able to align colleagues, bosses and teams to improve customer experience.
Time management and prioritising to meet deadlines and daily goals of campaign execution.
