Business Development Manager
About the Role
A Business Development Manager is a senior role, tasked with developing and diversifying business so that income increases, and the future and growth of the organisation is guaranteed.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for bringing on new customers, identifying new markets, new partnerships and new ways to reach the existing markets.
They may also be responsible for developing new product or service offerings to meet the needs of new/existing customers.
Key industries for employment opportunities are extremely broad ranging from Marketing & Advertising, Information Technology & Services, Computer Software, Financial Services and more.
Salary Expectation: $100,000 – $120,000
Qualifications, Training, Licenses
Combination of education and relevant industry and managerial experience required (at least 3-5 years work experience in sales and marketing).
Bachelor degree in business, economics, finance, marketing, or a related field.
Knowledge & Capabilities
Able to develop growth strategies and plans which focus on mapping business strengths (strategic analysis skills).
Look after company financial resources & allocation.
Experience in sales and marketing with a proven sales track record and being able to promote company products/services.
Build long-term relationships with customers.
Perform research into the market, customer trends and market competitors.
Negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts, writing business proposals and presenting to potential customers.
Strong Communication and project management skills and able to interact/liase with all stakeholders including account managers.
High competency working with MS office, CRM software’s, online meeting tools, email management, marketing automation software, search engine research, social media tools, mobile devices and accounting software.

Demonstrated experience either across business development, or as an Account Rep/Manager or Sales Rep/Manager.
